Professional Services Vet - Animal Health, Swine

Position covers Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska.Effectively communicate with veterinarians, distributors, swine producers, and other customers concerning Novartis Animal Health - Swine products. Handle questions about products; handle suspect adverse events (sADE) about products, etc. Consult with R&D personnel on research projects. Consult with Diagnostic Lab and Custom Vaccine Production Departments. Perform public speaking at Trade Shows, meetings, etc.MAJOR ACTIVITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Effectively communicate with producers on use of Novartis Animal Health Swine products2. Effectively communicate with practicing veterinarians on swine products.3. Prepare literature, articles, and perform public speaking for both producers and veterinarians.4. Effectively communicate with R&D personnel on swine related projects and animals.5. Work actively with R&D personnel on projects and New Product Teams.6. Effectively communicate with producers and veterinarians on problems. This function will require farm visits and associated veterinary functions such as herd exams, necropsy , clinical inspections, etc.7. Effectively communicate with management and R&D personnel on new product ideas as deemed necessary.8. Act as a liaison on sADE with Pharmacovigilance and work actively with producers and veterinarians to resolve these concerns.9. Effectively communicate with Regulatory Affairs and R&D on needed label changes.10. Work actively with the marketing team as needed to help with advertising ideas, actual advertising copy, and ad-editor.11. Assist Technical Services staff with sADE, including farm investigations.12. Provide technical and sales support at trade shows and with the sales force on a daily basis.13. Work with Territory Managers and Regional Managers to detail products to veterinarians and producers.14. Perform public speaking to inform audiences of new product information and general scientific information at sales meetings and other professional meetings.Qualifications
DVM Degree (required
Ability to communicate well and get along with other people.
Good record keeping abilities
Knowledge about Farm Animal swine vaccine products.
