Product Manager, Medical Marketing

As a key member of the Vanda marketing team, this individual will contribute to the development of the overall business strategy, pre-launch marketing communications and tactical plans, with a focus on medical marketing. Roles and responsibilities include the following: • Identification and cultivation of key opinion leaders in the field • Development of US medical education initiatives at national and regional levels, as well as global publication plans • Overseeing plans for congresses and medical meetings • Speaker training and advisory meetings • Acting as the medical liaison with field-based medical team • Gathering competitive intelligence.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates will have the following: • Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years in line marketing experience, including product management. Product launch experience preferred. • Must have experience in the development of the medical education strategies and communication plan, market/product analysis including product opportunities, market trends and competitive intelligence, opinion leader advocacy development, medical education programs, scientific meetings strategy, ability to lead and manage multiple vendors. • This position requires 20% travel. • Strong senior management communication skills are essential. • Four-year college degree required. Business (MBA) and/or biological science education with a concentration in marketing is preferred. • CNS experience preferred. • Demonstrate ability to work with physicians and the medical community
