Panel Finishing Group Leader

MINCO Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Temperature Sensors, ThermofoilHeaters, and Flexible Circuits, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a PanelFinishing Group Leader position! This is a great Temp to Hire opportunity for qualifiedindividuals! Pay is negotiable based on experience.PURPOSE:This person will be expected to organize the daily work load, equipment usage,maintenance schedules and materials and supervise the personnel working within theCell. The Group Leader will assist with hiring, training and certification of personal inthe Cell. He or She will be expected to use the current evaluation system to ensuregroup members' performance is regularly evaluated. He or she will work cooperativelywith the opposite shift personnel, Production Control, Engineering, Maintenance andManagement to meet customer shipment demands.
Primary processes include: Unicote, Specialty Plating, X-ray, Final Routing, HardboardRemoval, Plasma Etch, Final Blanking, Panel Marking and Panel E-test.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report directly to the Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager

Follow MINCO Products, Inc. Policies and safety practices and set a good example foroperators and peers

Unify activities within a specified process area and organize workflow to best meetthe established priority job list for the specified process area and shift

Work co-operatively with opposite shift

Verify that group members have the tools, safety equipment, and materials necessaryto perform specific tasks

Schedule/perform preventative equipment maintenance within assigned process area

Follow established documentation in production area including GOP (General OperatingProcedure) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)

Assist with hiring, training and certification of assemblers in specified process areaand shift

Use present evaluation system to ensure group members' performance is regularlyevaluated

Involve Engineering with area production activities including rework and correctiveaction

Contact Production Control when a situation arises that does not meet customerrequirements/expectations

Ask for clarification when questions arise

Complete other duties as assignedJob Requirements
-Excellent verbal and written skills
-Understanding of EI206 standards and information
-Able to read and understand Assembly Instruction (AI) information
-Knowledgeable of Company computer system to include GroupWise and MincoInformation System (MIS)
-Effective with Microsoft WORD and EXCEL programs
-Has completed (or willing to complete) Supervisor 1- The Basics training
-Good problem solver and able to offer constructive ideas or solutions to a problem
-Ability to read and understand written instructions
-Ability to follow verbal instructions
-Able to maintain area paperwork and familiar with area computer functions
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to use caliper, microscope, and other small hand tools
-Good eye/hand coordination
-Color Vision
-Good math skills and number recognition
-Able to work with area chemicals
