Packaging Production Coordinator

QIAGEN in Germantown, MD is currently accepting applications for the position of Assembly Production Coordinator at our North American Headquarters in Germantown, MD facility. The work hours for this position are 6:00am to 2:30pm.

This position is responsible for supervising and managing the work flow of a production team that packages components into boxes on an assembly line. This position is also responsible for the following duties:
•Ensure daily manufacturing objectives are regularly met
•Utilize SAP to complete raw and finished good transactions
•Support coach with continuous improvement initiatives
•Work with planning to create an effective production schedule
•Assemble & package finished goods according to established SOP’s
•Operate material handling equipment incl. electric & manual pallet jacks/lifters
•Collect & deliver quality control samples to QC.
•Read and understand SOPs
•Work effectively in team environment

REQUIREMENTS
To be qualified for this role, you need to have the following:
•4 years of prior manufacturing experience and or prior supervisory experience
•Ability to communicate effectively with coach and other leadership members in organization
•Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
•Maintain a safety and quality focus
•Ability to follow and focus other team members on dept policies and procedures
•High level attention to detail
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
•Associate's degree preferred
