Microbiology Technician

Reports to:Quality Control Microbiology Supervisor

Position Summary: The Microbiology Technician provides support to the QC department by performing functions including sample collection and testing according to SOP’s, GMP’s and FDA guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities: (will include other duties as needed)
•Perform sample collection and testing according to CGMP’s
•Recognize atypical data and perform investigations
•Maintain laboratory records and primary data in accordance with applicable regulations and company policy
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Skills and Experience:
•Associate’s degree in life sciences or High school diploma
•3-5 years experience laboratory experience
•Strong technical writing skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Ability to work in team environment and interact with various management levels and groups

Nonessential Skills and Experience:
•Experience in microbiology or the biotechnology industry is desired
•Training or experience in Biology or related science is desired
•Computer proficiency desired
