Medical Proofreader with Pharmaceutical Company

Terrific part time opportunity for an experienced medical proofreader!


Position will be 2-3 days/week

Contractual Medical Proofreader position available with the Marketing Operations team of a well-known pharmaceuticals company in the northern suburbs of Chicago. This position will be responsible for in-house proofreading of all promotional and advertising materials at all stages, from black and white layout to the final printed piece, checking accuracy against master documents.

Responsibilities to include:

Proofread promotional and advertising materials at all stages

Proofread documents for consistency, grammar, spelling, and style in a deadline-oriented atmosphere with changing priorities

Proofread documents to ensure Regulatory Affairs comments are incorporated correctly

Suggest alternatives to grammatically awkward or incorrect language

Assist in the proofreading of package inserts and brief summaries as needed prior to final printing

Maintain a proofreading tracking system

Assist in the maintenance of the approval process files

Assist in the organization, compilation, and distribution of Medical/Regulatory/Legal review packets

Requirements:

BA/BS degree

Experience in medical proofreading/copyediting, including use of AMA style

Previous pharmaceutical/medical experience desired
