Mechanical Engineering Support Associate

•Looking for qualified candidates to provide support to research and development staff by creating detailed drawings, assembly drawings and assembly procedures using company and industry standards, Solidworks and Microsoft Office.
•Candidate will be assigned or create engineering change orders which must be processed with respect to product development scheduling.
•May also be required to create parts based upon partial sketches, verbal discussions or reference documents.
•May also be required to assist in assembly and testing of components and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:

•A 2-yr technical degree or experience in engineering drafting and documentation including dimensioning practices and solid modeling
•Proficiency in Solidworks
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•Be comfortable in a small company environment
•Strong attention to details while maintaining consistent work flow
•Ability to work under minimal supervision and resolve issues independently
•Willingness to assume increased responsibilities when presented with them
•Strong organizational skills
•Ability to work as a team player and interact with others
•Must be highly motivated and a self starter
•Have excellent verbal and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

•Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
•Manufacturing assembly experience
•Mechanical design experience
•Electrical assembly experience
•Experience with documentation practices, i.e., ECO’s
