Materials Manager

Then you won't want to miss this exciting Materials Management opportunity.This position is responsible to manage the supply chain for manufactured and purchased products and materials, supervising material and inventory control functions including, purchasing, planning, warehousing, and distribution, and conducting corporate purchasing functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads and conducts material requirements planning, manufacturing planning, materials purchasing, and warehousing activities as required to support demand. Maintains inventory levels as required to support customer demand and as required to meet company objectives; manages inventory accuracy to company objectives. Develops, implements, and maintains procedures for material control, inventory control, warehousing, distribution, and purchasing in support of company requirements and regulations including QSR, ISO, and SOX. Manages supplier relations and sourcing to meet performance specifications, financial objectives, and regulatory requirements. Manages timely ERP transactions to support financial reporting requirements. Negotiates contracts, terms and conditions, pricing, quality, and delivery requirements with domestic and international suppliers. Reviews and approves purchases, implements approval thresholds. Supervises direct reports to ensure work processes and job requirements are performed productively and professionally. Leads Lean Manufacturing initiatives in support of improvement objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management or a related field is preferred, or a commensurate level of related experience.Must have at least 5-8 years experience collectively in manufacturing, material control, material requirements planning, inventory management, supplier development, and purchasing in an ERP environment.At least one-year previous supervisory experience is required for this position.One year of experience in the Life Sciences Industry is highly preferred with experience in QSR and ISO requirements desired.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong negotiation skills and supplier development experience. Strong computer skills. APICS Certification is desired.
