Master Black Belt
Santa Rosa, CaliforniaThe Master Black Belt will develop, advocate and enable the tools and methodologies to drive Medtronic process excellence. These tools may include, but are not limited to design for six sigma, lean technologies, project management and other improvement techniques.
Responsibilities: • Master of all technical skills associated with design for six sigma, lean and other appropriate improvement methodologies
• Develop and share new tools and techniques to further the advancement of Medtronic Lean-Sigma
• Advocate and influence appropriate change and quality needs across Medtronic, including project selection• Enable quality efforts to be felt by both Medtronic employees and our customers
• Facilitate and teach tools and techniques
• Mentor Lean-Sigma projects across Medtronic
• Attend and assess project review sessions
• Maintain and monitor key Medtronic Quality performance metrics
• Passionately drive process excellence visibility and awareness across the businesses
• Develop both present and future quality and business leaders
• Liaison to business units to communicate, integrate and monitor Medtronic strategy for Lean Sigma
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: o Bachelor’s degree (technical or engineering)
o 10+ years related work experience
o Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels
o Ability to simply convey and communicate complicated concepts
o Excellence in, and passion for, training and facilitation of diverse audiences
