Since 1986, Covance's Central Laboratory Services has been the world's leading provider of clinical trial laboratory services, dedicated to testing specimens and resulting and reporting data. We manage over a third of all clinical trials conducted in the world, have experience in over 100 countries, and service six continents.

Covance Central Laboratory Services was the first laboratory to develop and implement the use of a customized, protocol-specific database and visit-specific collection kits for clinical studies for the collection of more complete and accurate data. As a result of our improved processes for collecting higher-quality laboratory data, pharmaceutical companies have achieved faster data locks and product submissions.Covance is an integral part of bringing medicines to those in need.
As our Global Data Revision Center Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the Data Revision Centers for all of Covance Central Laboratory Services (CLS). The team provides data-point maintenance for all projects to ensure correct data-point transmissions. You will also be responsibile for ensuring the successful implementation of the global Clinical Data Management strategy, structures, processes, and metrics in order to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.Your specific responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the global teams including but not limited to:
a. Ensuring the development of a competent workforce to meet growth plans within budget.
b. Managing the global workload balance and resource sharing capabilities.
c. Accountable for the activities and outcome of the global team, taking corrective action where appropriate.
d. Ensuring consistent implementation, use and review of SOPs.
e. Managing and developing the team supervisors in global locations
f. Ensuring appropriate resource allocation to successfully implement and execute clinical data management goals to achieve agreed upon service levels.
Leading the global development and implementation of strategy, global processes and procedures, and performance metric
a. Supporting and participating in Clinical Data Managements tasks related to strategy, planning, budgeting and cross department issues.
b. Ensuring new processes are developed with global participation and implementation.
c. Ensuring performance metrics are global. Track, monitor, and report metrics in the agreed upon timelines.
Identifying data sources, tools and overall best practices to deliver reliable and consistent global Data Revision Center services.
Managing staff including but not limited to:
a. Coordinating and monitoring progress to ensure achievement of timelines and goals.
b. Day-to-day management and supervision of individual team members.
c. Completing thorough, timely and well-documented performance evaluations and interim progress reviews.
d. Establishing and monitoring performance objectives for direct reports and taking corrective action where appropriate.
e. Identifying appropriate successors/deputies for all key roles within the team.
Monitoring, tracking, managing and ensuring resolution of all internal and external customer complaints, issues and concerns.
Ensuring all services failures are identified, tracked and resolved in a timely manner.Acting as a liaison for the investigator sites, project management IT and other external groups as required.Qualifications
Four-year degree (medical/science); related education, training, and relevant experience may be substituted of 4 years or greater.
Minimum 4 year of management and supervisory experience.
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Proven record of driving continuous improvement.
Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.
