Laboratory Technician

RESEARCH LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Primary Job Function:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for operating analytical equipment to support research teams. Additionally, the successful candidate will assemble, operate
and maintain various types of hydrogen synthesis, chemical, power, light and plasma producing test cells, and assist in the design and construction of bench scale systems for various reactors.
REQUIREMENTS
AAS or BS in chemistry, engineering, or science-related field with focus on chemistry plus one year industry experience, or two to three years previous work experience as a research laboratory technician; demonstrated ability in and knowledge of the operation of standard laboratory equipment; mechanically inclined; general understanding of safe chemical handling methods; must be able to accurately record data; must possess strong organization, communication, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; intermediate to advanced PC experience.The following equipment is used by our client's technicians:
* Pumps: vacuum, scroll, molecular drag, turbo, mechanical oil
* Mass flow controllers
* Pressure transducers
* Thermocouples
* Thermistors
