Lab Scientist

On Assignment Lab Support, the company run by scientists for scientists, has an immediate need for a Laboratory Scientist. Out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply, however, no relocation package is offered at this time.

Education Requirement: BS/BA microbiology, chemistry, or biochemistry. A Master’s Degree is preferred or equivalent experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Knowledge of microbiological procedures which includes media preparation, operation of steam sterilizer (autoclave), operation of data loggers, identification of bacteria, asceptic technique-sterility testing
• Knowledge of Good Cell Practices (GCP’s), and principles of process validation a plus
• Familiarity with various sterilization processes (EtO, Gamma irradiation, steam) a plus
• Knowledge of lab testing techniques, biological and/or chemical systems, use, and documentation
• Knowledge and experience with analytical instrumentation, auditing, understanding of FDA/ISO requirements for medical devices
• Knowledge of GLP’s
• Experience in endotoxin testing, and use of LAL Kinetic Chromogenic or Kinetic Turbidimetric systems needed
• Project management and statistical analysis skills a benefit
• Independently designs & performs project work or experiments, analyzes data, and reports results, coordinates ongoing validation & compliance programs
• Helps to develop & implement plans and procedures to comply with local, state, federal, and international regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Key Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, PC skills, detail oriented
• 3+ years of applicable experience

Hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Pay is DOE.
