Lab Diagnostic Sales
Looking for a top Lab Diagnostic salesperson to sell Lab Capital equipment and consumables to Hospital Laboratories.Must have Lab Diagnostic sales experience.Med Tech background preferred.Meet or exceed sales objectives of assigned territory by promoting and selling capital equipment and reagents through the use of professional sales techniques, and demonstrations, and building strong customer relationships
Major Activities
* Meet and exceed sales targets; achieve maximum sales in assigned territory through direct sales and working with distribution channels
* Complete an average of at least two demonstrations per week to potential customers
* Target hospitals that are within one year of purchasing new capital equipment; complete financial proposals and complete demonstrations to these target accounts
* Allocate time and demo frequency based on territory targets
* Working with the territory Account Manager, maintain the current business and continue to build relationships with our current customers
* Increase our market share in product category by calling on potential customers, communicate special programs, present new products, presenting new marketing programs, collect competitive information, and handle and resolve customer complaints.
* Prepare financial proposals, presentations, and reports
* Use contact management system (salesforce.com) on a regular basis to update activities, sales calls, leads, opportunities, funnel, forecasts, and contacts
* Continually learn new product knowledge and acquire better selling skills
* Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, trade shows, and training classes
* Create customer sales programs and purchasing incentives that will help win business over the competition
Time Management
* Work a minimum of 40 hours per week
* Do necessary overnight travel with a minimum of 50% travel time
* Schedule demonstrations with a cost effective strategy to maximum both your time and company resources
* Call on accounts in clusters and work sections of the territory efficiently by using loops and cloverleaf travel patterns
* Utilize laptop, cell phone, and contact management system (salesforce.com) on a daily basis to communicate your efforts, success, and territory information effectively and efficiently to management
* Work with Account Manager on a daily business, allowing you to maintain the current hemostasis business and address customer issues or concerns in the most timely manner
Self Organization
* In advance, plan each day, week, and month
* Plan each sales call and demonstration
* Maintain demo equipment, keep demo units operational, and order demo units in advance
* Dress in professional business attire
* Maintain a neat automobile that is suitable for transport of customers to site visits and company events
* Update salesforce.com following all meetings and demonstrations
Administration
* Maintain account files, leads, opportunities, funnels, and forecasts in salesforce.com
* Submit the following in a timely manner: reports requested by management, expense reports (due every two weeks), and proposal requests from customers
* Communicate competitive information to Marketing via salesforce.com
Company Relations
* Comply with all company policies and operate with the guidelines of the Travel and Entertainment Guide
* Work with, develop positive relationships with, communicate with, and coordinate activities with other employees in marketing, customer service, distribution, credit, accounting, human resources, and the finance departments
* Communicate effectively; cooperate and work in a team environment with your fellow salespeople and management
