Infection Control RN

Our 59-bed Waltham acute care hospital provides acute care for patients that require longer term stays than a traditional trauma hospital would provide. We specialize in comprehensive care including complex care, short-term rehabilitation, pulmonary services, ventilator weaning and complex wound-care.

Co-located on the Children's Hospital campus, our facility is a gorgeously renovated and sparkling 2 years old.

We are searching for an Infection Control RN to come join our team to consult with physicians, managers, and staff for the management of infectious and/or immuno-suppressed patients.

Qualifications included BSN, Current State RN license and a minimum of 1 year clinical experience in medical-surgical or critical care nursing.

In this role, the Infecton Control nurse
Develops, implements, and continually monitors the infection control policies and procedures for all departments.
Implements a surveillance system for detecting and monitoring hospital acquired and community infections. Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements.
Provides physicians and staff with updates of infection control policy changes.
Investigates outbreaks or clusters of infections. Monitors, analyzes, and interprets bacteriology reports and infection statistics, recommends appropriate control measures to prevent dissemination of resistant microorganisms and pathogens.
