INFECTION CONTROL NURSE / EMPLOYEE HEALTH NURSE

INFECTION CONTROL NURSE/EMPLOYEE HEALTH NURSESurveys hospital and its population for nosocomial infections, hazards, or situations contributing to infections for the purpose of providing quality patient care and a safe working environment. Responsible for implementation and coordination of the CTMC program for Infection Control, prevention, surveillance, and improvement of patient care practices through education and communication. Responsible for the coordination of Employee Health Services, acting as advisor, support and authority regarding employee’s health in an effort to prevent the possible spread of infectious disease. Be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and six months to one year related experience and/or training in Employee Health and/or Infection Control.
REQUIREMENTS
Be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and six months to one year related experience and/or training in Employee Health and/or Infection Control.
A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.Must maintain a current Texas State Driver's License and proof of liability insurance on file.
Must hold a current certificate in C.P.R.
APIC Certification desired after 2 years of Infection Control Experience.
Must hold a current license or be eligible for license as an RN in the state of Texas.
