Human Subjects Protection Special Projects Scientist

AMDEX Corporation is currently seeking a motivated subject matter expert with experience in regulatory compliance and Human Subjects Research Protection. Position is located in Frederick, MD.

Serves as a senior staff member of the United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) Office of Research Protections (ORP) Human Research Protections Office (HRPO). Provides expert human subjects protection reviews of research proposals and protocols. Provides oversight to Command-level education and training programs. Updates existing policies/procedures and develops new policies, procedures and guidelines related to the USAMRMC Human Subjects Protection Program. Represents the USAMRMC HRPO to other military, civilian organizations and institutions. Must have the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and support senior level staff, military personnel, research team members and peers. Military service or previous employment within the DOD is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
·Minimum of a Master’s degree, PhD preferred in a biomedical-related field.
·Experience as IRB Chair, Vice Chair or Key IRB administrative/management position
·Extensive education/experience relative to the Code of Federal Regulations
·Extensive experience in conducting/managing biomedical research
·Extensive experience writing and analyzing biomedical research documents.
·Excellent oral/written communication skills
.Exceptional presentation and leadership skills
·Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
·Documented proof of U.S. citizenship
·Demonstrated success in writing manuscripts for publication in professional journals
