Engineer Technician II

The responsibilities of this role include:



The primary job responsibilities include being responsible for the performance of compression systems. This includes, but is not limited to completion of system configuration changes, hardware/software upgrades, switching defective equipment to backup systems, completing preventative maintenance, assisting in build-out/expansion projects and maintaining the overall integrity of the Dish Network service. This individual will also be required to help complete daily activity reports and maintain department documentation. This position requires individual to work any shift and holidays to support 24/7 operation.

job Requirements


Minimum qualifications to be considered are:



Education: Associate Degree from a college or university or certificate from a technical school. The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Networking certifications are helpful. 1+ years related experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Experience: Twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must posses the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in stressful situations. Must have basic networking and computer related skills including familiarity with Windows operating systems and TCP/IP. Experience working with broadcast audio and video systems, MPEG video and audio compression a plus.
