Drafter/SolidWorks

Uses Solid Model Mechanical CAD software to create or modify specifications for mechanical parts, assemblies, and products in compliance with established industry engineering and configuration management standards, ISO standards, EEC directives, and FDA regulations governing the design, manufacture, distribution, and servicing of medical devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Uses SolidWorks CAD Software to create and make changes to mechanical CAD drawings

Designs new parts and products under the guidance of senior engineers or managers

Trains other company SolidWorks CAD users, as needed, in proper use of SolidWorks

Researches technical information with outside suppliers as required to create or change component specifications

Creates and edits Word documents using established templates.

Works closely with engineering and manufacturing departments in support of new product designs and changes
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION:

Technical Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3-5 years experience as a supervisor or coordinator; or equivalent combination of education and experience

At least 5 years of experience using SolidWorks solid model engineering CAD drafting work creating documentation for mechanical components and assemblies in an engineering design environment

Intermediate to expert level experience in Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically Excel, Word, and Access

Some general knowledge of document control and engineering and manufacturing software and processes

Electrical PCB CAD software experience is desired, but not required
