Computer Test & Repair Tech.

SUMMARY Perform test and troubleshooting of whole unit computers. Expert status in notebookcomputer repair. Perform repair and rework of whole unit computers with emphasis onnotebook computer test, repair, and generate/update repair documentation. Performtests, including verification and validation tests. Assembles, disassembles, and testscomputer systems, components and peripherals. Performs standard tests and runsdiagnostic software on equipment to conduct functional and operational test to evaluateperformance and reliability of product. Recording of electrical and/or mechanicaltesting of equipment and initiates replacement of components, which fail to meetacceptable operating standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may beassigned.Required Operating System knowledge of Windows 2000, ME, NT, 2000/2003 Pro &Server, XP Home & Professional.
Must be A+ Certified or the ability to become certified within the given timeframe.
Extensive knowledge of all internal computer parts, insertion/removal of peripheralsand troubleshooting skills of hardware issues.
Testing and knowledge of systems a must. 3 to 5 years experience in a break/fix,troubleshooting environment.
The individual must possess strong hardware repair skills; have the ability to workwith little supervision.
