SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
A Bioanalytical Research Associate operates and maintains analytical instrumentation to support the design and execution of customer studies and the development of pharmaceutical assays and procedures.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Operate and maintain HPLC-UV and HPLC-MS/MS instrumentation.
•Complete assays for customer studies.
•Contribute to the research and development of new assays involving new methods and technologies.
•Conduct assays according to protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
•Assist in solving scientific and technical problems in creative and effective ways.
•Achieve and maintain familiarity with relevant scientific concepts and new information.
•Prepare, and assist in the preparation of, SOP’s.
•Prepare experimental protocols, data analysis, data summaries and technical reports.
•Maintain adequate study records and compile study folders.
•Maintain records of equipment use and maintenance, chemical inventories, and storage.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
A Bioanalytical Research Associate will work under the direction of Scientist/Senior Scientist in full cooperation with management, laboratory, sales and marketing and administrative personnel.

REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•B.Sc./Master degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. analytical chemistry, chemistry, or biochemistry)
•Minimum two years of laboratory experience. Expertise in chromatographic techniques (HPLC) and quantitative or qualitative mass spectrometry is highly recommended.
