Purpose: Associate Director of Clinical Operations

A pharmaceutical company in San Diego is seeking an Associate Director of Clinical Operations to join their organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership:
Provide leadership to Clinical Trial Management team by setting aggressive standards and goals, and taking personal accountability for the timeliness, budgets, and team management for all studies.
Mentor and coach Clinical Trial Managers and other support personnel to success through active engagement with each staff members responsibilities.
Provide the greater organization with 100% visibility into the developments, progress, activities, and results within the Clinical Trial Management Team

Management:
Establish, track, and report appropriate performance metrics
Manage continual improvement through analysis of metrics and other data sources, as well as taking appropriate interventions to achieve improvement
Project FTE requirements and manage to those projections
Assign staff to ensure full coverage of all studies

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree required, Masters in science or business preferred; 11 years experience in Clinical Research; 5 years successful experience in clinical trial management activities;
5 years successful experience leading individuals and teams; Expertise in GCP/ICH requirements.
