As the developer of the world’s only fully implantable artificial heart, and the world’s smallest catheter based support system, ABIOMED is the place to prove your ability to deliver results and join a world class team.The Accounting Manager will provide leadership for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sr. Accountants, and a junior level Accountant. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for financial reporting , actuals, balance sheet and P&L Manage the monthly general ledger close process Manage collection activities Responsible for consolidations Maintains and improves ABIOMED’s AP & AR collections process. Lead the A/R collections process by preparing monthly reports to facilitate management’s review and decision process and reconciling account receivable balances to the general ledger (GL). Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. Review reports and resolve issues with vendors and clients. Support the Sarbanes-Oxley effort by complying with internal controls for areas of responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS
BA in Finance and/or Accounting 5-8 years experience 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience CPA desired Public accounting firm experience desired Public company experience desired SAP experience desired Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley
