Account Manager
Position Summary:
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for leading and delivering on project deliverables for Client(s), as well as identifying new business opportunities within the Client’s business. The Account Manager delivers on all aspects of Client Service such as being the primary interface for all projects, business strategy, as well as achieving 100% Client Delight on a consistent basis. The Account Manager has overall accountability for ensuring that all project deliverables are met. The Account Manager acts as back up for the Project Manager in communicating the status of existing projects.
The Account Manager is required to increase current business at existing Clients and to help in the acquisition and presentation of new business opportunities to new clients when required.
The Account Manager for our open position must be able to integrate online and offline Customer Relationship Management programs, have experience launching direct marketing programs, and have a thorough understanding of database marketing requirements to support them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Develop strategic direct marketing initiatives that drives customer acquisition into Client’s marketing database; Implement and oversee execution of programs
§ Create online and offline direct marketing programs (email, web site data capture, welcome kits, member-get-member programs) that will migrate prospects into customer status, retain valuable customers and evolve them into, advocates.
§ Interface with technical team and database analysts to ensure data capture is relevant to drive future customer communications
§ Continually evaluate CRM programs and tactics that coordinate multiple customer touch points to ensure successful consumer experience
§ Provide analysis, guidance, and direction to marketing and intelligence group to ensure programs are meeting/exceeding objectives; Manage communication of program results and recommendations to Client.
§ Develop and maintain on-going, mutually beneficial relationships at all Client levels and with client-associated vendors (examples: fulfillment, email distribution).
§ Maintain in-depth understanding of Client's overall marketing strategy, the future of the brand/project, therapeutic category, and marketing objectives for the project and Client's department.
§ Evaluate and recognize direct response and interactive business opportunities, and lead internal meetings on how Company capabilities can be used to meet Client needs.
§ Work with project team to determine and prioritize project scope and business specification.
§ Demonstrate quality decision-making that will consistently meet or exceed Client needs and project objectives.
§ Identify and resolve problems in a timely fashion; assist the Project Manager in solving Client-related concerns and issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
§ Monitor/track staff time against project budgets.
§ Manage and mentor Assistant Account Executive
REQUIREMENTS
Experience Requirements:
§ Minimum 5 years successful track record in Client Service capacity, successfully managing client relationships and significantly expanding account presence.
§ Demonstrated success integrating marketing communications programs with specific focus on direct response and interactive (web/email) channels to drive CRM communications.
§ Extensive knowledge of web technology and database marketing to interface with internal and external teams and communicate requirements.
§ Experience delivering successful projects of over $ 1 million.
§ Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple projects to tight deadlines.
§ Minimum 4 years, hands-on accountability for direct management of successful multiple and cross-functional project teams.
§ Demonstrate exemplary formal presentation development skills.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
§ Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.
Education/Training Requirements:
§ Bachelor degree or equivalent related experience
§ Attend industry conferences as a vehicle to expand knowledge, gain additional interface with current clients, and build strong external networks for new business opportunities.
