About Your Opportunity: This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, exciting web marketing team. In a nutshell, you’ll be full-time member of the group that develops and executes the company’s multi-pronged e-marketing strategy. You’ll help increase our visibility and brand recognition. You’ll help drive traffic to our company and convert prospects into leads and accounts. And most importantly, as our web marketing analyst, you’ll help measure and evaluate the results to maximize our effectiveness. The team’s goal is to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability.
Job Activities, Duties, and Responsibilities:
* Track and Analyze Online Campaigns – Collaborate with other members of our marketing team to establish key performance indicators used for measurement and evaluation of our web marketing campaigns (banner ads, online promotions, direct e-mails, pay-per-click search, etc.). Prepare monthly performance dashboards for general distribution and management review. Ensure that all online campaigns are running according to the marketing plan, and that impressions and leads are being delivered as expected. Use tracking software to analyze performance of various campaigns and creative, and make recommendations to improve results. Track web-based marketing expenses and review vendor invoices/payments for online marketing expenses to ensure within approved budget.
* Search Engine Marketing – Maintain expertise in current, effective pay-per-click SEM and paid inclusion techniques, trends, and best practices. Choose the Tier 1, 2, and 3 search engines on which we run campaigns and manage these relationships. Significantly expand our keyword list, and test keywords, titles, descriptions, and landing pages. Use keyword bid management, tracking, and optimization tools, and analyze large quantities of data using Excel, to manage all SEM accounts and achieve the best possible return on investment. Present SEM performance review and recommendations on a monthly basis.
* Website Analysis and Optimization – Use website analytics to gain insights into visitor behavior on our site (page views, most frequently viewed content, path analysis, referral sources of traffic, etc.), with an eye toward enhancing the user experience. Pinpoint and optimize areas with high drop-off or abandonment rates. Monitor and track important customer statistics, such as browsers, operating systems, geographic locations, etc. Generate and regularly present reports, analysis, and actionable recommendations to the XPRESSTRADE marketing team and management to refine site design, increase conversion of site visitors into leads and accounts, and maximize revenue and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
* Education – Bachelor's or equivalent degree from an accredited four-year institution. A degree in advertising, communications, computer science, marketing (particularly interactive marketing), or mathematics is a plus. Dual degrees or a master's degree in any of the aforementioned fields is a strong plus.
* Experience – Minimum 4-5 years hands-on experience in various forms of web-based marketing is required. Experience in a web marketing or e-commerce analytical role is best. Knowledge of the online brokerage industry is preferred though not absolutely necessary.
* Personal Characteristics – Candidates should have a solid work ethic, cheerful disposition, and the ability to work as part of a team. Creativity and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills also are required. We seek candidates who are motivated self-starters with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with limited supervision.
* English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Candidates must be capable of writing efficiently, persuasively, and properly. The ability to distill complex information into an easy-to-understand written language is essential. You must be able to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
* Computer Literacy – Must have a solid familiarity with the Internet and intermediate to advanced skills with respect to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to present data in a user-friendly manner (charts, graphs, etc.) is a necessity. Experience using web analytics tools, such as WebSideStory, and sales/CRM tools such as Salesforce.com, is a strong plus. Some basic database skills also are a plus.
