Vice President Retail Banking

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the performance of all branch locations. Oversees branch operations, sales and service, branch security, and compliance to bank regulations. Ensures staff is well managed and trained to meet the goals and objectives of the Bank.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Manage and direct the daily operations of retail branches in California, Florida and Massachusetts.
2.Ensure retail branches meet sales goals through proactive efforts, execution of marketing campaigns, attendance at external marketing events, etc.
3.Assist in the development and launch of new products, marketing campaigns
4.Responsible for ensuring staff competency and adherence to all regulatory compliance requirements, bank policy, and procedures. (e.g. BSA, Reg. CC, Reg. E, GLBA/Privacy, Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, Security, etc.)
5.Maintain effective internal controls to mitigate risks (cash, fraud, kiting, etc.)
6.Maintain satisfactory audit ratings in all branches.
7.Maintain security over branch assets and ensure safe working environment.
8.Manage all personnel related matters including staff development, coaching, performance feedback, salary actions, incentives, recruitment, hiring, and identification of training needs.
9.Ensure customer service is commensurate with the mission statement and meets bank standards for service excellence by monitoring schedules, vacations, staff vacancies, and historical transaction trends.
10.Manage branch expenses related to supplies, overtime, security, vendors, and other areas as assigned.
11.Promote customer retention, cross selling of bank services and products; ensure staff is knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of bank services and products.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of branch experience including a minimum of 5 years of branch management. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a strong team of managers are required.
