Vice President, High Yield Analyst - Credit Strategy Research

Our client, a global ratings and research organization, is seeking an accomplished high yield bond analyst to join their Credit Research Strategy Group. The Credit Research Strategy group provides capital markets analysis and commentary to through analyzing market patterns and utilizing proprietary models and information, they seek to increase the value of the Market Implied Ratings platform to current and potential subscribers, thus supporting the growth of the platform. Conclusions are conveyed to subscribers via periodic publications, emails, and face-to-face meetings and telephone calls.

Responsibilities include:

Researching the cash and synthetic high yield markets and the ratings database

Providing timely, relevant, and value-added analysis to investors. This includes writing articles for internal publications on sector and issuer developments and broad bond, credit default swap and equity market trends.

Meeting and speaking with investors to broaden their understanding of Credit Strategy Research approach and their use of Market Implied Ratings. This encompasses existing clients and prospects, and is done in close coordination with the salesforce. The focus of activities will be on the high yield market.

Sales force liaison and training to improve their knowledge of the Credit Strategy Research product.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will demonstrate a sound understanding of the capital markets, particularly the high yield sector. He or she will also be familiar with the credit ratings process and the role of ratings in the marketplace and have direct analytical experience in the credit markets. The position requires strong research and writing skills, as well as an interest in markets analysis. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to present ideas effectively, are a must. MBA / CFA preferred.
