VP, Sr. Credit Manager Commercial Loan Underwriting

Team: National Commercial LendingNature & Scope: This is a senior level position that is responsible for supervision, quality control and mentoring senior and junior level credit analysts and acts as an adviser to the Chief Credit Officer and Executive Managing Director of Sales.Responsibilities Include: 1. Head of the Commercial Loan Underwriting and Credit Analysis Team. Responsible for underwriting and analysis of on and off balance sheet commercial lending transactions. Works closely with the Chief Credit Officer and senior management for the purpose of reviewing new lending transactions and assessing the credit quality of such transactions. Responsible for the oversight, management and compliance with all lending policies and guidelines in newly originated transactions. 60%2. Provides leadership and sets analytical standards for the Commercial Loan Underwriting Team. Provides training and staff development to both senior and junior credit analysts and provides advice to the Sales Teams regarding loan structuring, collateral valuations, and loan covenants. 30%.3. Works closely with the Chief Credit Officer in developing commercial credit policies and guidelines for NCB and its subsidiaries. 10%
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Fifteen (15) years combined experience as a commercial bank credit manager or senior lending officer (at least five years lending experience in middle market lending).2. Strong financial analysis skills, with the demonstrated ability to manage and train an analytical staff.3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.4. Ability to make independent judgments under stressful conditions.
Proficient in use of Moody's FAMAS Spreadsheet.
Proficient using EXCEL and Word.BS/BA Finance, MBA or CFA preferred.Completion of LARGE Bank credit training program.
A minimum of five years middle market commercial lending experience.
Experience in managing a staff of three or more professionals.
