Vice President, Lending Technology
The department is responsible for identifying business needs and documenting system requirements for Countrywide Bank.
The Vice President, Lending Technology is responsible for developing business and system requirements for Countrywide Bank information systems, that are required to meet the tactical and strategic business objectives. Manages all internal operations necessary to support the Lending, Product Development, Reporting Analytics and Vendor management groups. This would include responsibility for any and all systems used by the Production Lending department including any ancillary systems. Manage development process, product design, implementation strategy and communication of new and existing products. Assist in special projects such as the deployment of new products and new channels, the design of special reports as requested by the business unit and the design of new business flows and continuous process improvement efforts.
Primary responsibilities include:

Interact with end users and conduct focus groups to understand business strategies and related system needs and to understand the impact of related system enhancements and modification requests.

Identify system application opportunities to sustain a competitive advantage.

Translate business needs/requirements into system solutions documentation.

Create system concept/feasibility documentation (which includes establishing system prototypes).

Collaborate with business units and the Development Team on project scope and business and system requirements. Maintain close interaction with client community and senior management to determine system enhancements in keeping with goals.

Conduct requirements walk-through sessions; and, document and maintain a formal set of systems requirements for all system enhancements.

Assure that adequate resources and training are provided to insure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and that such commitment to compliance is fully communicated to the staff, internal and external clients and other parties within the FVP area of responsibility.

Perform project planning, project definition, requirements definition, analysis, design, QA testing, system documentation, policy and procedures and user training.

Develops and maintains project documentation using the departmental templates under established guidelines of the Software Development Lifecycle.

May be required to manage a small group of QA analysts, system analysts, or other project managers.
Collaborate with technology departments to minimize client/business impacts and maximize client satisfaction.

Collaborate with Sr. Management in the development and refinement of short and long-term automation and interface strategies to achieve competitive and leading edge position.

Perform administrative duties regarding to more effective solutions, approaches, and streamlined processes. Ensure service levels are maintained and work is successfully implemented in a timely manner.

Perform all special projects and duties assigned by management.

Maintain formal status reporting of system initiatives, addressing existing workload status as well as new project requests, development requirements.

Resolve or escalate defined priority issues.
A successful candidate will have:
5 to 7 years in an information systems project management capacity.
5 years experience in residential mortgage related industry (Mortgage Banking, S&L, Bank, etc.).

Demonstrated skill in using initiative and acquired knowledge in testing efforts.

Strong understanding of program change management and software testing functions.

Analytical skills sufficient to extrapolate information from written information when information is missing or not clear.

Previous Banking experience desirable. Knowledge of mortgage banking terminology, process, and procedures.

Strong analysis and communication skills (both written and oral).

Demonstrated experience in working directly with line staff and management in client departments.

Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
