VP Lending

Examines, evaluates, and authorizes or recommends approval of customer applications for lines of credit, commercial loans, real estate loans, and consumer credit loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requested applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation.

Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan.

Corresponds with or interviews applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.

Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee for approval.

Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan payment options and other credit terms. Conducts on-site appraisals as needed.

Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.

Assures timely loan closing and funding activities.

Analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for loans.

Advises loan manager of external factors that may affect establishment lending policies, such as a new or revised legislation and regulations. Recommends and implements appropriate changes to establishment policies and procedures.

Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.

Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.

Remains actively involved in their local community events and organizations.

REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three years related experience and/or training.


Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
