Purpose/Objective
:Provide support to SVP, HR in the design, implementation, integration and management of all compensation, benefits and people related programs to maximize organizational performance and support the bank’s vision for success.  Develop and maintain programs and practices for hiring, developing and retaining a strong, high performing work force.  Work with management to identify and articulate core competencies and behaviors for all employees of the organization and imbed those in all initiatives. Key Accountabilities: 
  
Provides ongoing strategic and hands on support to the Human Resources function as needed. Assess and provide support to ongoing improvement and managing of HR programs and practices such as recruitment, hiring process, orienting and integrating new employees into the workplace, performance management, mentoring and developing a high performing workforce.  Supports all HR aspects of M & A activity.
  
 Manages bank’s performance management system, recommending enhancements to support learning and results driven culture.  Links corporate performance measures with individual performance plans. Implements state of the art practices and methodologies to measure manager effectiveness and results at all levels.  Monitors all phases and reports to senior manager.  Provides coaching, training and mentoring to ensure effectiveness of the program in support of the bank’s business model and strategic goals.
  
Designs and implements manager development programs; utilizes external resources and may facilitate a variety of manager training programs to provide ongoing development as well as facilitate integration of new managers into the workplace.
  
Provides support for strategic design of benefits, compensation and rewards programs, including performance incentives, sales referrals, base pay, etc., Ensures all programs are market competitive and support strategic initiatives and goals.  Identifies trends, conducts research, market pay analysis and makes recommendations.
  
 Assists with workforce planning to ensure the right individuals are in the right roles and position organization talent for future growth. Partner with managers and develop programs to assess talent, identify gaps and provide solutions to build bench strength; conduct behavioral interviewing and skills assessments to hire best talent; mentor, coach and develop employees for strong performance.
  
 Provides oversight, and direction for bank wide training function; may facilitate training as needed. Provides strategic support to leadership development and succession planning. Guides and directs training officer.  Ensures learning initiatives support bank’s strategic direction and goals.  Oversees monitoring of quality and effectiveness of all training programs.

Experience:

   Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and managing a variety of human resources, training and people development programs in support of organization’s strategic direction   Experience working for a performance driven organization, including leading initiatives and measuring results   Demonstrated ability to execute   M & A experience a plus   General banking experience a plus 

Skills & Knowledge:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills    Strong professional presence, including high level interpersonal skills and communication skills    Ability to multi-task efficiently    Demonstrated ability to think creatively; “outside the box”    Recognition of various adult learning needs and styles    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
