VP Financial Analysis
Global financial institution is seeking to add a senior financial professional to one of its core planning groups. Responsibilities:
-Will support department in the preparation and analysis of management financial results and periodic forecast/plan deliverables for both Group and Local Americas management.
-Preparation of all financial packages for several securities businesses that represent approx 50% of revenues and 66% pretax profits.
-Position additionally will support all reporting requirements and legal, customer and product views of businesses.
-Serve as day to day liaison for NY and all global/regional management on queries related to Global Bank and four key businesses; Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Investment Banking (INVB), Project & Export Finance (PEF), and Asset & Structured Finance(ASF) performance and ad hoc requests.
-Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and analyses of all global banking businesses, including information gathering, research and commentaries, reconciliations and development of insightful reports.
-Ensure the accuracy and integrity of department deliverables, and strict adherence to internal controls and department procedures. Seek out opportunities to improve processes, leverage efforts and increase productivity.
-Facilitate enhancement of current analysis to expand on profitability measures, industry trends and return on investment.
-Working knowledge of Balance Sheet management, exposure reporting, credit, and loan provision analysts.

Skills / Qualifications:

-Must be able to manage multiple deliverables within tight timeframes, produce high quality work consistently and efficiently.
-Successful candidate will be resourceful and creative, look to bring issues to resolution and move past obstacles.
-5+ years of financial reporting, planning and/or accounting experience and finance related educational background.
-Aptitude to learn and understand business economics and drivers.
-Hyperion Solutions or similar reporting/analysis systems would be advantageous.
-Excellent PC based skills for spreadsheet analysis and report preparation. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
