Job Description:
Responsible for all business assigned to the team. Acts as a training mentor; Offers guidance and assistance on all account issues; Resolves workflow and communication issues between teammates, UC/BDC, UC/NSC, and UC/Engineering. Assures team is in compliance with all underwriting policies, standards, workflow initiatives and procedures. Conducts team meetings to discuss accounts, workflow, communication, etc. Serves as back-up for the Underwriting Manager
Requirements
Qualifications - Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Desired: CPCU, AU or ARM
Qualifications - Work Experience:
Required:
Minimum of five (5) years of Production Underwriting experience
Property/Casualty insurance industry experience
Desired:
Equipment Breakdown insurance experience
Inside sales experience
Qualifications - Technical Skills:
Required:
Strong understanding of general underwriting concepts and principles
Strong knowledge of PCs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet usage
Ability to prioritize and handle sizable workload volume
Desired:
Knowledgeable of HSB Products, services and underwriting equipment breakdown
Understanding of marketing techniques and sales methodologies
