Responsible for underwriting loans that meet MLN?s underwriting standards and maintaining a productivity level that meets MLN?s minimum standards. Mentors Tier 1 Underwriters.

Job Function & Responsibilities:

1. Mentors less experienced Underwriters.

2. Approves, declines, or counter-offers loan submissions to assigned limits based on MLN?s underwriting guidelines and philosophies.

3. Communicates loan decisions to brokers and sales team.

4. Responsible for productivity results that meet or exceed MLN?s minimum productivity standard.

5. Maintains current knowledge of Company underwriting and processing policies and procedures.

6. Assists the Operations team with processing and funding as needed.

7. Assists in the management of the broker and appraiser networks. Identifies problem brokers and appraisers and recommends appropriate action.
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability in underwriting or processing; strong communication and interpersonal skills; good organizational background. Attention to detail and accuracy.
