Underwriter I or II for Dealer Commercial Services - Tampa,

General responsibilities include management of assigned portfolio, including pro-active identification/elevation of trends, weaknesses to deteriorating conditions, covenant violations, etc. Independent development, thoughtful and supported credit analysis and recommendations of appropriate credit structure. The candidate possesses and applies broad understanding of business environment including current events and economic cycles. Determines sustainable competitive advantages of clients by understanding client business and industry thoroughly. Provides guidance to bankers on policy issues, risk ratings and appropriate hold limits. Prioritizes multiple tasks to meet client deadlines while ensuring credit integrity. Interacts with clients during due diligence stage and ongoing development of credit/financial history. Participates in documentation process, including the identification of covenants and other key provisions. Participates in client meetings to introduce presentations, discuss alternate credit structures, and clarify questions related to financial statements.



REQUIREMENTS


BA/BBA in Finance, Accounting, or other Business degree, or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience. Strong analytical skills supported by good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent PC and financial modeling skills. The candidate assumes individual responsibility and works well in a team environment. Has ability to formulate and articulate objective views based on professional analysis. Understands the Bank's policies/procedures and its products.



Auto dealership underwriting and/or commercial sales experience a plus. Formal Commercial Credit Training experience desired.
