Underwriter - Commercial Real Estate

Bridger is looking for a Sr. Underwriter for our rapidly expanding Washington DC loan production team. This position offers excellent earning potential and full benefits package.

REQUIREMENTS
In addition to accuracy and strong project management skills, candidates should possess a high degree of customer service orientation. This position routinely interfaces with bank clients to underwrite and structure 8 or more loans at a time for the secondary market. Successful candidates will have a superior working knowledge of commercial real estate loan risk parameters and underwriting standards; an ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, the risks, mitigating factors and structural solutions relating to proposed loans; and demonstrated success managing external and internal relationships. In addition they must be able to complete detailed market and project evaluations; review appraisals and summarize extracts, spread historical financial data after reviewing supporting documentation, summarize rent rolls, review leases and prepare lease summaries, analyze principals’ credit history and/or financial condition, and review collateral environmental and property condition reports; and do preliminary preparation of Credit Memorandum under the direction of lead Underwriters.

Successful candidates will be motivated team players with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. They will be people who are organized with strong project management skills and a high degree of accuracy and customer service orientation. All candidates must also possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
