Treasury Accountant

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $40000 to $60000 per year A prestigious NY based firm is seeking an accountant for their treasury department. This position offers great exposure and growth opportunities, as the firm promotes rapid growth from within.
Responsibilities/Requirements include:1.Bank Reconciliations:•Daily Reconciliation of TMAN (Treasury Manager) to Great Plains Cash Transactions (6 Companies, 50 Bank Accounts, 200-300 Transactions per day)
•Preparation of Daily Outstanding Check Listing - 25 accounts
•Month-End Preparation and Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
•Preparation and Updating of Month-End Bank Account Listing
•Daily Preparation of Manual Check Deposits
•Month-End Reconciliation of Various Non-Cash G/L accounts
•Transaction Research•Bank Fee Analysis
•Obtain Daily Required Wire Transfer Signatures - (Treasury Sarbanes Oxley Key Control)Working Knowledge of Great Plains System or Extensive Training Required2.Collateral:The Position also requires Collateral Background. Assistance with the following tasks in a back up role will be needed, on occasion:•Update Collateral Database
•Image and Watermark Collateral Documents
•Review of Collateral Documents - Preparation of Review Checklist
•Collateral Related Communications and Correspondence
•Collateral Reductions, Swaps and Returns
•Collateral Research
