The Transaction Analyst is the single point of contact for borrowers/brokers once the pre-approval has been signed. The T.A. is responsible for timely, smooth processing and closing of the loan and will be held accountable for customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help train newer employees in the department.

• Manage and hold accountable the underwriters, closers, and appraisal personnel for the timeliness and quality of work on each file.

• Perform in-depth analysis of files for submission to underwriting and closing departments.

• Close each loan within 45 days. Suspend or unsuspend loan files as necessary.

• Establish rapport with brokers/borrowers and deliver excellent customer service.

• Represent the borrower/broker’s side when dealing with Silver Hill departments and be able to respond with in-depth knowledge to the borrower/broker on any issues which cannot be resolved in their favor.

• Verify all documents and conditions have been met prior to closing and schedule a closing date.

• Order and analyze environmental screening/insurance.

• Order fraud detection reports and analyze all documents for fraud risk.

• Resolve all loan level file issues to get the loan funded, or deny the loan.

• Manage internal and external expectations on timelines, costs, and processes.

• Act in accordance with Silver Hill guidelines, policies and procedures.

Education/Experience Requirements:

College degree preferred. May substitute high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience in mortgage banking origination. Minimum of 3 years of residential and/or commercial processing experience preferred. Other relevant study or work experience may be considered.
