Trading Clerk

POSITION PURPOSE:

Working primarily with the traders, but also with members of management, compliance, administration, and technical operations. Will provide all aspects of support to the companyb

B7 Maintain proper end-of-day positions concerning breaks with other firms and retail customers;

B7 Help research and resolve clearing and s!
ame-day trading issues;

B7 Interface with Chicago Stock Exchangeb

> Ensure that all floor equipment and software applications are up and functioning prior to start of daily trading activities and that all applications and equipment are shut-down at the end of the trading day;

B7 Perform clerical activities related to floor trading operations including, but not limited to: stock supplies, answering telephones, inputting data;

B7 Assist Traders, Management, Compliance, Technical and Administrative personnel in resolving issues and ensuring smooth floor operations;

B7 Run errands as needed;

B7 Arrange for lunch, snacks, and beverages for floor personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

B7 Ability to multi-task and respond quickly and accurately in often hectic and time-sensitive situations.

B7 Abillity to quickly learn and utilize industry specific and other software programs;

B7&nbs!
p; Ability to repsond to and act on situations with minimum anount of direction;

B7 Familiar with execution procedures through CHX MAX System, SelectNet, ACT, and ECNs;

N>Understand CHX Order Flow system and how it interfaces with the national market;

B7 Basic Mathematical, typing, and compuater skills;

to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, including the desire to work independently;

B7 Strong initiative, organizational, written and verbal communicative skills

B7 Must have some work experience, but does not have to be job specific

B7 High School and at least one year of College, also based on work experience;

B7 Computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel

B7 Needs to be able to lift 25-30lbs
