Title Examiner

Texas American Title Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Title Resource Group, has an opening for a Title Examiner in the Austin, TX, area. The Title Examiner will review and examine various property materials for accuracy and applicability and to determine if there is continuity of title. Will also identify any restrictions that would limit the use of the property: determine all matters, which encumber the property and create requirements for clearance of underwriting objections and insurability. In addition, the individual will prepare the Commitment for Title Insurance based upon the examination. REQUIREMENTS


Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. An Associates degree is preferred. One year title examining experience is required. The ability to read and interpret real estate documents, legal proceedings, maps and floor plans required. The ability to communicate effectively with customers peers, underwriting staff and vendors essential. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills are required in order to make insurability decisions and translate title insurance guidelines. Individual must demonstrate strong analytical skills and decision making ability. Working knowledge of title insurance underwriting guidelines preferred, but not required.
