Teller Senior

- This position is meant to be the first line of contact for customers as they enter the branch.
- Must achieve applicable sales goals.
- Sell appropriate bank products or services or refer to appropriate business line.
- Identify and address customer needs by providing a wide variety of in-branch services which may include, but are not limited to, opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, redeeming savings bonds, performing money transfers, receiving loan payments, and selling/buying foreign currency.
- May work in an In-Store location whose duties may rotate between Teller and FSR dependent upon customer needs.
- Resolve customer problems either through direct personal action or referral to alternative branch or bank resources.
- Identify and maximize cross-sales opportunities through customer profiling.
- Enhance customer relationships by telemarketing bank products.
- Ensure customer is referred to correct line of business.
- Take, process and close loan applications.
- Perform basic service transactions that take minimal time such as address changes, check orders, giving account balances, performing stop payments and answering phones.
- Maintain customer account records.
- May perform Teller duties, on occasion, when necessary.
- May be assigned to opening and closing the branch and other operational tasks.
- Is charged with higher sales goals than a FSR II and consistently meets those sales goals.
- History of demonstrated, consistent sales excellence.
- Make outside sales calls to maximize business opportunities.
- Demonstrated history of maximizing these opportunities.
- Develop sales tactics and acts on them proactively.
- Assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level FSRs.
REQUIREMENTS
Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 3+ years proven sales and customer service experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Trained in effective sales techniques and possesses excellent sales skills.
- May have applicable certifications or licenses.
- Vast knowledge of FSR and branch operations, policies and procedures.
