Teller (Float) - Apopka, FL

BankFIRST, a successful community bank, is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the following role:Teller - Full Time (Float - Will be based out of Apopka, FL)PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position is responsible for providing superior customer service through the courteous, efficient, accurate processing of customer transactions and making referrals that will best meet the needs of the customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures customer satisfaction through the accurate processing of customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, transfers, cash advances, Cashier’s checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, etc.• Observe cash drawer limits and sell excess to the vault under dual control.• Determining the customers needs through the processing of customer transactions and the utilization of active listening skills and referring the customer to the appropriate resource. Will be responsible for meeting established referral goals.• Maintaining a high degree of accuracy through daily balancing of a cash drawer and other negotiable items received or disbursed, reporting any discrepancies or outages to Head Teller and posting any needed corrections.• Completes appropriate sales tracking and recording in a timely, accurate and responsible manner.• Assists in the daily balancing of the overall branch and the accurate completion of all required forms.• Maintaining bank confidentiality as it pertains to all aspects of the bank.• Following operating and security procedures for prevention of loss to the bank through fraud, robbery, or other emergency.• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.• Performs job functions in accordance with BankFIRST policies and procedures, FDIC, Federal and State regulations and with management approval document exceptions to policy.• Keeps updated on changing regulations as they relate to bank products and services.• All other duties as assigned by management.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High school degree or GED required.Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.0-1 Year Financial industry experience preferred.6 Months – 1 year Cash Handling Experience required.6 months – 1 Year Teller Experience preferred.6 months – 1 Year Sales Experience preferred.
Position will be required to have availability between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday - Friday and between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM on Saturdays.
