Team Leader, Custodial OperationsThis position is responsible for leading staff and ensuring daily work and special projects are completed within established timeframes. Emphasis will be on guiding and training employees, monitoring their performance and preparing annual performance reviews. Involves reviewing and responding to correspondence from internal/external customers, performing quality control reviews and preparing reports of services rendered to be used for billing, in addition to seeking opportunities to streamline and enhance current procedures.Requires 3 years experience in the mortgage banking or banking industry, in origination or other closely related field such as custodial responsibilities. Knowledge of the collateral certification standards for FHLB, FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and other investors is a must, as are excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must have strong clerical skills, which includes typing a minimum of 45wpm, 10- key skills, filing abilities, etc. Proficiency in PCs and business software, with the ability to develop, maintain and prepare reports using Access and Excel, is essential. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detailed-oriented, able to multi-task and take direction, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The team player we seek should be flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
