Job Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Boeing World HeadquartersJob Description: Federal Income Tax Specialist with multiple federal income tax responsibilities associated with the company¿s commercial aircraft programs. The individual will be part of the tax group that supports the Commercial Airplane Division of The Boeing Company, and the Chicago office of the Corporate Tax Department. Responsibilities include the determination of Schedule M-1¿s, working with accounting suppliers, reporting deferred balances, ensuring sufficient documentation for FAS 109 and SOX compliance requirements, etc. The candidate should be able to effectively work with outside consultants, other tax team members, program personnel, financial/cost accountants and others to help ensure the accuracy of federal income tax reporting. The individual can expect to be involved in special projects. Competencies The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and have exceptional documentation/organization skills. Strong federal tax experience and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time are required. Excellent analytical skills are a must, including the ability to summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations on various tax issues. Experience with the R&D Tax Credit would be helpful. The individual should be able to work without appreciable direction Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
