Tax Manager

Due to an internal promotion our client wishes to recruit a senior accountant. The successful candidate will join a team of eight professionals responsible for the management, financial and regulatory accounting this North American business which has revenues of almost $270 million.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparation & review of monthly management accounts for Back Office (IT, Finance, Legal, etc)Preparation & review of monthly closing entriesPreparation of monthly management commentaryPreparation & review of annual budget and quarterly forecastMonthly analysis of project costingPreparation monthly project costing & progress reports for Senior ManagementPreparation of software development balance sheet reconciliationsMaintaining Sarbanes Oxley internal controlsReview work prepared by junior accountantsAd hoc projectsCompetitive compensationRef: 1141124
REQUIREMENTS


The successful candidate will have these attributes:
A bachelors degree with a good GPAFive to seven years experience in the finance function of a company with revenues in excess of $250 millionBe a self starter, proactive, and able to use initiative in resolving problems
Be detail orientated with a commitment to meeting deadlines.Demonstrate rapid advancement in career to dateStrong communication skills with demonstrated ability to report clearly and concisely to senior managementCPA or similar designation is very desirableExperience in the financial services sector would be useful but is not essential.The successful candidate should be able to progress to a more senior role with 18 monthsComputer Skills: Excel, Access, Word, Power Point (intermediate to advanced); Oracle System (desirable but not essential).
