Tax Accountant / GFT02

Preparation of all transaction returns, timely and accurately filing the returns for Entire US including sales and use, telecommunication, state USF tax returns, plus maintain files and records for all returns
Filing of amended returns to obtain refunds of taxes previously paid due to customer credits, bad debt writeoff, etc
Ensure that applicable tax rates are updated within multiple billing systems
Assist with all transaction tax audits by gathering information and researching issues
Filing of business licenses, and registrations
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors degree in accounting/finance
At least 3 to 5 years work experience in multi-state transaction tax environment preferably in the telecommunications industry
Advance level skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Lotus Notes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
Ability to learn, flexibility, creativity with good organizational skills
Self motivated with proven ability to effectively manage work schedules to meet demanding deadlines
