American Home Mortgage is seeking a Loan Processor for our Virginia Beach, VA Branch... Our company was founded in 1979, and now is publicly traded, on the NYSE under the call letters AHM. The primary function of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all "niche" and sub-prime loans originated by designated loan officers. Gather information; process the package to make sure it meets the specific guidelines, verifying loan documents including income, credit appraisal and title insurance, ultimately preparing application for submittal to underwriting. In most cases, the Sr. Processor will have a Jr. Processor that will assist them in the following up on necessary items. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the Senior Processor to manage their pipeline to ensure all loans are processed in a timely manner.

Specific Duties:
•Review new loan files to confirm they contain the required information.
•Document and communicate the "Hit List" and "Flow Sheet" to the loan officer
•Review file documentation, and make sure all needed items were requested (i.e. trust docs, divorce decree, bankruptcy papers, lease land contacts, case numbers, ECT.).
•Structure the loan in preparation for underwriting.
•Analyze documentation to make sure it meets program guidelines, and signs off on received conditions once underwritten.

Qualifications:
•Must have strong working knowledge of processing conventional and sub-prime loans as well.
•Strong Knowledge of LP and DU
•Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, prioritizing, and follow-up & follow through.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
