POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Capital Markets Manager will report to the Director of MBS Investor Relations and become an integral member of the Multifamily Investor Relations team. In this highly visible position you will be a member of a team that is responsible for the development and support of the MBS secondary market in order to maintain liquidity in Multifamily MBS.

The Senior Capital Markets Manager will be responsible for cultivating, building and managing relationships with dealers, investors, and market participants for our Multifamily MBS. As a part of this role, you will also interact with our internal investor, Fannie Mae Portfolio to resolve time sensitive issues and serve as a resource in a similar fashion. You will have consistent interaction with all market participants to address concerns, identify opportunities, gather market feedback, and educate where needed. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to propose improvements in process, disclosure, communication, and data to make Fannie Mae Multifamily MBS more competitive. You will also:
Manage relationships with "buy side" and "sell side" firms in the fixed income market to promote the benefits of Fannie Mae Multifamily MBS.
Become an expert in all MBS products and serve as a resource for all internal and external parties on all trading related matters.
Work closely with data providers such as Bloomberg, Trepp, Intex, SIAC, and others to resolve modeling issues with respect to our securities.
Serve as the business lead in the conversion of whole loan structures into MBS.


REQUIREMENTS


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree required in, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
Masters degree preferred in Business, Accounting, Finance or Real Estate
Five years of experience in commercial real estate and/or finance, including relevant exposure to mortgage-backed securities or other fixed income securities.
Strong technical, analytical and communications skills.
Knowledge of commercial real estate finance and capital markets debt products is a must with knowledge of Fannie Mae products desired.
Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels within an organization from senior management to entry level analyst.
Exceptional intellectual honesty with the desire to learn whatever is needed to effectively perform the necessary job functions.
Knowledge of third party data providers including Bloomberg, Trepp, Intex, Yield Book preferred
Understanding of MBS/CMBS transactions
