Sr. Business Development and Consulting Project Manager

The successful candidate will lead development of new/add on sales and participate in team sales.

Assists the business development team with writing and presenting proposals for large or complex projects

Responsible for the management and direction of multiple, large or complex projects or function as a highly skilled individual contributor in the Insurance consulting practice in order to consistently achieve practice revenue and profit objectives.

May assume an organization-wide leadership role for a specific technology or process.

Manages overall relationships with some clients and has frequent and direct contact with the most senior level managers and executives to provide technical expertise and project direction.

Shares practice management and performance management responsibilities including the overall management of project teams and development and review of staff.Position-specific Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant work experience in both consulting and general industry supporting P&C and/or Life and Annuity clients. This experience should include both functional and technical subject matter expertise involving understanding of architecture, development and implementation.

Must have 10+ years experience managing client engagements and leading large project teams to consistently achieve practice revenue and profit objectives. Day to day responsibilities include: project planning, engagement management, budget management, resource allocation and vendor management.

Must have in-depth understanding of overall insurance business including: claims, underwriting, billing, reinsurance, etc.

Demonstrable understanding of PMO and process improvement methodologies, gap analysis and SDLC in an insurance environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates ability to knowledge share both within and outside the insurance practice and / or an engagement setting

Leading and participating in development of new and “add on” business in the consulting and insurance industries and will have an established network and referral contacts.

Current or recent Big 4 experience is strongly preferred.

Candidates currently residing in the mid-west will be given strong preference.
