Sr. Brokerage Customer Service Representative

Provides customer service and operations related support to PNC Brokerage customers. Coordinates, monitors controls and responds to complex requests made by PNC Brokerage customers; acting within established policies and procedures. Performs unsolicited trades as necessary under the direction of the customer. Creates cross-sell and up-sell opportunities while maintaining superior customer service levels. Regularly communicates information to PNC Brokerage Management and Investment Consultants related to the activities on accounts assigned to the IC.

Work with customers to provide general information regarding most complex questions regarding mutual fund accounts, fund policies, practices and services via telephone and written correspondence. Refers interested persons to assigned Investment Consultant. Assists Group Supervisor in directing work and reviewing daily tasks for completion

Serve as a liaison between the Investment Consultant and Brokerage Operations. Process information associated with account maintenance, researches more complex issues to correct/minimize problems, such as order entry errors, statement and customer account set-up.

May assist Group Supervisor in the preparation of daily reports and nightly transaction balancing. New Account opening and maintenance. Completes service reporting and account maintenance documentation consistently, accurately and in compliance with established policy, procedure and regulations.

Promote and maintain a superior level of customer service within the group. Able to handle 90% of all inquiries. Assist in training new employees and observing customer handling techniques.

Monday thru Friday - 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Job Requirements
Equivalent Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent business experience. Series 7, 63 and insurance licenses required.

Experiences
4 years of more prior investment sales or operations related experience.

Skills and Abilities
Superior telephone and communication skills to deal effectively with brokerage customers, employees and bank management In-depth knowledge of brokerage and insurance products.

Proven ability to learn and work with automated systems. Ability to develop knowledge of applicable Brokerage systems: Lotus notes, BHC, On-Board, Broker Book. Also develop full knowledge of PNC Brokerage Operations and Compliance policies and procedures applicable to duties performed. Demonstrated proficiency of telephone skills, computer and administrative skills. Interacts with internal and external customers to resolve problems and develop solutions. Resolution of customer problems under the direction of a Brokerage Service Group Supervisor.
Responsible for quality customer service to prevent the loss of retail investment customers.
