The dual purpose of this position is to provide friendly customer service to associates, retirees, and visitors as the initial contact on the Company's main switchboard and in the Associate Service Center lobby; as well as to serve as the initial phone contact for associates, retirees, and surviving spouses with questions regarding welfare or retirement plans. This position is responsible for processing all general in-coming phone calls to the Company, greeting visitors to the Company and properly directing them to internal Company contacts, answering basic associate and retiree questions regarding benefit plan administration, routing callers or visitors with more complicated questions to other Associate Benefits Services staff or 3rd party administrators. This position is also responsible for updating phone and reference directories, and maintaining the Company's web-based Discount Program.

REQUIREMENTS


Requirements: High School graduate with 12 months experience in Customer Service (phone) Superior phone communication skills Positive and patient attitude; able to deal with multiple calls and high call volume Computer skills (PIMS/PAMS, Outlook, Word, Excel, FrontPage & Internet experience)

Good interpersonal skills are strongly desired.
